The Shadow Sacrament is a journal devoted
to publishing non-fiction and poetry that relates to the intersection
of sex and spirituality. We hope that this will be a home for broad,
intelligent explorations of all aspects and expressions of sex and
gender. There are no graphic images of sex on this website. We do not
generally publish
erotic fiction. However, some of the writing herein deals with
sexuality in a way that is honest and plain-spoken, and therefore is
